Bath, England

Last July my mom came and visited us in London and she and I went on some fabulous day trips. I’ve blogged before about how we went to Stonehenge and Windsor. The last place we went on one of our trips out was Bath. Now the lovely blogger Bonnie at A Compass Rose lives in Bath so head over to her blog if you’d like to see some beautiful photos of the town.

These are just a few snaps from my mom and my day out.  I was so excited to visit because I am a bit of a Jane Austen fanatic.  I once even read the “Mysteries of Udolpho” because Catherine Morland was obsessed with it in “Northanger Abbey”. That’s silly, right? And possibly one of the nerdiest things that I’ve confessed on here so far.

This was right after the Jubilee, if you couldn’t guess.

I’ve mentioned before that I don’t own a raincoat so I had to borrow Sam’s.

Things I’d Recommend in Bath:

Visit the Roman Baths
Go to the Jane Austen Centre
Try drinking the spa water inside the Bath rooms. (It tastes vile, but it’s one of those things you just have to try once.)
Bath Abbey
No. 1 Royal Crescent
Plus there are LOADS of cute tea rooms to have tea in to warm up during the day!

If you get a chance to go, hopefully the weather will be better for you than it was for my mom and I last year!
